About the HSEQ Officer Position
Our organization is looking for a dedicated Health Safety Environment Quality Officer who will play a pivotal role in maintaining world-class standards across our operations. As an HSEQ Officer, you will be responsible for implementing comprehensive food safety programs, conducting workplace safety audits, and ensuring full compliance with international standards including ISO 9001, ISO 22001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.

Core Responsibilities of the HSEQ Officer Role
Safety & Compliance Management:
- Develop, implement and monitor robust HSEQ policies and procedures aligned with UAE safety regulations
- Conduct comprehensive site safety inspections, hazard identification, and workplace risk assessments
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety standards, Halal certification requirements, and quality management protocols
- Maintain compliance with environmental health and safety legislation and occupational safety standards
Audit & Assessment Functions:
- Perform regular internal audits for ISO 9001 quality management, ISO 22001 food safety, ISO 14001 environmental management, and ISO 45001 occupational health safety systems
- Lead incident investigation procedures and root cause analysis for workplace accidents and near-miss events
- Prepare detailed corrective action reports and preventive action plans to eliminate safety hazards
- Support external certification audits and regulatory inspections
Training & Development:
- Design and deliver engaging HSEQ training programs, safety induction courses, and toolbox talk sessions
- Create safety awareness campaigns to promote a proactive health and safety culture
- Conduct emergency response drills, fire safety training, and first aid certification programs
- Mentor teams on best practices in food hygiene, environmental protection, and workplace safety
Continuous Improvement Initiatives:
- Drive operational excellence through systematic safety performance monitoring and KPI tracking
- Identify opportunities for environmental sustainability, waste reduction, and energy efficiency
- Implement behavior-based safety programs and employee engagement initiatives
- Utilize data analytics for safety trend analysis and predictive risk management
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate HSEQ documentation, safety records, and compliance registers
- Prepare comprehensive safety reports, incident statistics, and management review presentations
- Ensure proper record-keeping for training certifications, inspection reports, and audit findings
- Manage HSEQ management system documentation and version control
Essential Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Background:
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Food Technology, Food Science, Environmental Science, or related disciplines
- Professional Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Management
- Valid NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or NEBOSH Diploma – Mandatory
- IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent certification – Mandatory
Professional Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of progressive HSEQ experience in food manufacturing, hospitality, or related industries
- Proven expertise in UAE health and safety regulations and labor law compliance – Highly Preferred
- Hands-on experience with ISO certification implementation and maintenance
- Background in Halal compliance, HACCP certification, and food safety auditing
Technical Competencies:
- Expert knowledge of risk assessment methodologies, safety management systems, and environmental compliance
- Proficiency in incident investigation techniques, safety analytics, and reporting tools
- Strong understanding of food safety standards, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and food hygiene protocols
- Familiarity with environmental management, waste management systems, and sustainability practices
Core Skills:
- Exceptional communication abilities for stakeholder engagement and safety presentations
- Advanced analytical skills for data interpretation, trend analysis, and decision-making
- Outstanding report writing capabilities and technical documentation expertise

Additional Requirements:
- Valid UAE driving license – Mandatory
- Immediately available candidates strongly preferred
- Must be located in UAE for face-to-face interview
