Key Responsibilities for QC Chemist Role
As a QC Chemist at METS, you will be responsible for conducting critical laboratory quality control tests and ensuring all materials meet stringent international standards. Your daily responsibilities will include:
Laboratory Testing & Analysis
- Performing mechanical testing procedures including tensile strength testing, compression testing, bend tests, and hardness measurements
- Conducting polymer testing and coatings analysis to determine material properties and performance characteristics
- Executing construction materials testing for concrete, aggregates, steel, asphalt, and other building materials
- Operating sophisticated laboratory testing equipment and maintaining calibration standards
- Documenting test results accurately in compliance with quality management systems
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensuring all testing procedures follow ASTM standards, ISO protocols, EN specifications, and BS testing methods
- Maintaining laboratory safety protocols and chemical safety procedures
- Participating in internal and external laboratory audits and quality assessments
- Implementing quality control best practices across all testing operations
Technical Documentation
- Preparing detailed test reports and technical documentation
- Managing laboratory information management systems (LIMS)

Essential Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Material Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering (required)

Professional Experience
